En aquesta cinquena edició de la residència Emergències, volem posar l’accent en la relació conflictiva entre la composició de la ciutadania i les construccions i normatives de les ciutats que habitem, en els processos d’amnèsia o memòria que els seus monuments i emblemes provoquen, en els processos de gentrificació i en els diferents sectors  humans que convivim en l’àmbit urbà.

Les conspiracions han estat sempre plans secrets per enderrocar el poder i l’ordre establert i és per això que en aquesta residència volem induir, en l’espai públic, mecanismes alternatius i innovadors de desordre a partir de pràctiques artístiques. I ens inspirem en el fer de les nostres veïnes, les isòpteres, insectes socials conegudes com a termites, arnes i formigues blanques, que desenvolupen la seva vida principalment en comunitats i colònies. Són organitzacions amb un objectiu comú: la supervivència en un territori hostil.

El nostre objectiu busca, des de la praxi crítica i creativa trastocar el funcionament de l’estructura legal, capitalista, patrimonial, patriarcal, capacitista i colonial que ens vol dòcils i obedients.

Les ciutats han estat, des de finals de l’edat mitjana, els principals escenaris des d’on assistim al desenvolupament i perpetuació del sistema de producció capitalista, colonial i patriarcal. Les ciutats, els seus edificis i espais públics, expressen els desitjos i interessos de la  classe social que les ha promogut, així com els símptomes que la delaten i la posen en qüestió. La urbanització és un fet central per a la supervivència del capitalisme i, per tant, la ciutat és també un espai susceptible de convertir-se en l’objecte central d’una lluita social i política.

Per lluitar en condicions innovadores i sorprenents, per fer front a la realitat sistèmica urbana, la pràctica artística, com a pràctica imaginativa i experimental inclusiva, proposa un canvi del concepte ciutat com un nou territori d’intercanvis i relacions a partir d’explorar formes alternatives de convivència. Les conspiracions isòpteres manifesten una resistència organitzada que desordena i erosiona tota realitat donada. 

La convocatòria d’aquest any s’articula, com sempre, al voltant d’un seguit de trobades intercanvis, tallers i formacions, on explorarem les possibilitats expressives i les traduccions artístiques de diferents lluites i resistències col·lectives a través de 4 “plans” temàtics principals: 1) Contra l’amnèsia colonial, 2) Contra la desmemòria històrica, 3) Okupació i xarxes comunitàries contra la gentrificació, 4) Cossos, territoris i carrer.
